Outfit for Tomorrow #6

Hello again!

Beside my haul, I also show you my outfit for tomorrow!

I like to wear something feminine but also casual for work tomorrow and because it is really hot in Germany right now, I decided to wear a mint light-weighted dress with some platform heels. I put my hair together to a high bun and wrap a colourful carré around it.

Mint dress: ebay
Taupe belt: thrifted
Multi-colour platform heels: H&M
Jade ring: South Korea
Golden necklace: vintage
Silk carré with an indian pattern: present

Haul!~

Hello everyone!

As promised, I will show you my recent shopping findings today!

I found some really nice and effordable items which are great for summer but also for the upcoming fall/winter season!

First, I went to H&M as usual and I found this great patterned light-weight blazer jacket. The colours will be great for fall and winter and I love to wear it then. I paid €10 instead of €35!

I searched for such a cropped top for a while and at H&M I found this black and white striped one for only €8. Can´t wait to wear this with some high-waisted shorts.

I love maxi skirts and H&M always has some nice ones such as this olive coloured skirt. It has a really nice fit and is light-weighted, so it´s great for summer.

Above knuckle rings are a big trend right now and some of them are quite pricy. I got this bunch of rings at H&M for only €5. I like to wear them with other delicate golden rings or just on their own.

I havn´t been to a thrift shop for quite a while but last time I went there, I found this awesome black leather belt with this gorgeous buckle. In some way, it reminds me of the "Collier de chiens"-belts by Hèrmes. I only paid €1.

I want to dye my hair soon, so I bought the syoss hair colour in "Honey blond". I´m really excited to try it out for the first time and I hope the results are just as amazing as on the packaging.

Apple Crumble Pie ♥

Hello everyone!

Although it´s reaaaaalllly hot here in Germany right now and it isn´t the best idea to heat up the oven, I decided to bake again!

This time I made an apple crumble pie!

You need:

Dough:

125g margarine
3 eggs
120g sugar
1 sachet vanilla sugar
1/2 sachet baking powder
250g flour
1 pinch of salt
milk

3 apples (or other fruits)

Crumbles:

100g flour
60g cold butter
60g sugar
1 pinch of salt
cinnanmon

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Mix margarine, sugar and vanilla sugar together until it´s a sleek mixture. Add the eggs one after another and mix well. Then put in the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt. If the dough is to thick, add some milk and mix again. It´s as simple as that!

To get nice crumbles, you have to mix the flour with sugar, butter, cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Then knead all together until you get crumbly chunks.

Peel the apples and chop them into pieces as big as you want them to be.

Put the apple slices onto the dough and sprinkle the crumbles on top.

Bake the pie for about 45min until it´s ready and golden brown.

P.S. Next post is going to be a haul  :)

I baked again... Raspberry Muffins!

Hello everyone!

I just saw a TV show where the host baked delicious-looking berry muffins and I instantly wanted to bake some, too!

So, I decided to make some raspberry ones!

You need:

(frozen) raspberries
3 eggs
170g sugar
1 sachet vanilla sugar
100g butter
100ml milk
200g flour
2 TS baking powder
pinch of salt

1. Prepare everything by preheating the oven to 180°C, put the muffin papers into the muffin mold and take the frozen raspberries out of the freezer.

2. Melt the butter and let it cool down. Add the milk and mix all together.

3. Mix the eggs, sugar and vanilla sugar together until it´s fluffy and add the milk/ butter mixture. Then throw in the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt and mix again.

4. Cover 2/3 of the molds with dough and put in as much raspberries as you want.

5. Then spread the remaining dough into the molds to cover up the berries.

6. Let the muffins bake for about 20-25 minutes until they look like this. You can check if they are ready by sticking a wooden chopstick into a muffin. When dough sticks to the chopstick, the muffins aren´t ready yet.

Let them cool down and lift them out of the molds. Sprinkle some sugar powder onto the muffins.

7. Place the muffins onto a nice plate or an étagère like I did and enjoy your delicious muffins with a cup of coffee or tea!

Wardrobe Update!

Hello everyone!

The trends for fall/winter 2013/2014 inspired me, so I went to a few shops today.

I found two awesome pieces which can keep up with the trends on the international high-end fashion shows. But intead of paying lots of money, I made great bargains!

Leather

In H&M sale I got this awesome simple black peplum shirt. I love the leather details on the collar and on the sleeves. It was reduced from 30€ to 7€!

Opulent Jewelry

I also went to a jewelry shop and I bought these opulent golden earrings. They remind me of the recent Dolce&Gabbana fashion shows which I really liked. I also got those earrings on sale for 4€ (8€).

Outfit for Tomorrow #4

Hello!

Recently, I found the website Tokyo Fashion and couldn´t stop clicking through the pages. It´s an internet platform which posts Tokyo street snaps multiple times a day. I just love the unique and special style of each of them, so I got inspired to pick out my Shibuya-style dress I got in Japan during my trip last summer.

For accessories, I go with a thin caramel coloured belt, a vintage watch, golden earrings and a delicate ring I got from my grandma. For shoes, I wear my brown platform sandals from H&M you saw some blog entries before.

Trends: Fall/Winter 2013/14

Hello everyone!

Recently, the international ready-to-wear fashion shows presented the trends for Fall/ Winter 2013/2014.

In this entry, I will show you my favourite ones via snap-shots of the current ELLE insert.

The biggest of all other trends is black and white fashion. You can see them everywhere in the fashion stores right now. I especially love the outfit in the leftmost position. It´s a knit dress from Dior Fall/ Winter 2013/2014.

Furthermore, black and white coloured clothes are also seen seperated. White dresses will look really elegant in the evening time and black is THE colour for fall/winter. Weather coats, dresses or shirts, black is everywhere recently. It matches to everything and never goes out of style.

Another big trend right now are metallic fabrics like lurex or other shiny materials. All-over-looks are awesome for evening occasions to stand out of the crowd. If you don´t want to wear a metallic look from head to toe, you can paint your nails with a metallic nail polish to accentuate your look for example.

Opulent jewelry was part of many fashion shows. Mostly golden necklaces or bracelets standed out. Dolce&Gabbana was the fashion leader with chunky golden jeweled earrings or necklaces by far. I wear this trend in daily life with a simple but chunky golden chain necklace.

Leather outfits are a great trend as well. All-over-looks can be quite excessive, so I will wear black leather biker jackets. Leather pants can also be a nice eye-catcher.

Every fall/winter seasons, there are fur coats on the international catwalks. There are amivalent opinions on fur.  For people who want to rock this trend but don´t want to wear real fur, there are a lot of great and reasonably priced imitations. Vintage or thrift shops also sell fur coats which are usually real but not "new fur", so you don´t support the fur production from today.

Along with colours! Bright reds and cobalt or royal blues are awesome for the upcoming season. Dolce&Gabbana or Dior created outfits with red dresses or coats which are really wearable for the fall time. The bright blue can be seen in the stores by now. The two colours matches a lot of skin tones and hair colours, so everyone can add some colour to their outfits in this season.

Dresses and skirts are a worthy alternative for pants in the fall/winter season. Midi skirts are really popular right now, but the fashionistas couldn´t imagine a world without maxi skirts as well. Mini skirts made of a thicker material can also be worn with tights.

Check printed clothes are en vogue in every fall/winter season. This time, there are some colourful ones like the pink one from Issey Miyake. Moschino, next to it, focus big prints which remind of Britain.

Ethno prints are really great for the upcoming season because they bring a lot of colour and different prints. My favourite is the dress wit flowers from Oscar de la Renta down to the right.

Along with the check prints, punk-ish fashion is on trend. Studs, chains, leather and other chunky materials were part of many fashion shows like Saint Laurent or Givenchy. To go along with the trend you can wear studded leather bracelets like the one I purchased yesterday in sale. It´s by Mango and I got it for 6€.

The upcoming season offers a lot of variety in clothes and accesories, so there are trends for everybody!
