Christmas Baking! Time to bake some Gingerbread!

Hello everyone!

Today after school, I decided to bake some Christmas biscuits!
I decided to bake gingerbread. I never tried it before but I think the result is really great and delicious!

In the following, I will show you a few steps I needed to get this gingerbread or in german "Lebkuchen"!

First, the ingredients!

(A)50g sugar
175g honey
2 tb. oil
2 tb. water

(B)1 yolk
1 tbsp. cocoa
6 drops lemon oil
1 knife point clove powder
1 knife point cinnamon
250g flour
3 tbsp. backing powder

 (C)75g almonds
75g ground hazelnuts
50g citron
75g dried apricots (small minced)

After heating up the part (A), adding all the other ingredients of part (B) and (C).

Sprinkle your workplate with flour, so your dough will not stick on it and knead all ingredients together.

After rolling out your dough, cut out your biscuits. They have to bake in your oven for 15-20 min with 175°C.

After baking, your ginger bread should look like this! Now you have to let your biscuit cool down. In the meantime you can melt some chocolate and make some icing to coat your biscuits!

And voilà! Here you have some delicious and home made ginger bread! You can now enjoy your bisuits with some tea, like I do, or with a hot chocolate or coffee.

Hope you´d liked my Christmas baking!

Have great pre-Christmas days!

Week´s Over!

Hello everyone!

Finally, my schoolweek is over! Now I can have a relaxed weekend!
This week, I wrote two classtests which run quite well.
On Wednesday, I went to Baden Baden to see the play "Kohlhaas" which is a famous german short novel. We´ve read that book in school, so it was great to see how the artists play it out. It was a quite modern production with only two artists, although they are normally a lot more.
The play was good but they left out some important scenes which was not that easy to understand at the end and that caused that the play ended after only 1 hour!

Yesterday, I also went to Baden Baden to see the play "Der Besuch der Alten Dame" ("The visit of the Old Lady" )which is also a very famous Swiss tragic comedy. We´ve also read it in school, so it was perfect to see it in a theatre.
This play was awesome. I loved how all the artist played and how the stage was decorated! They played all scenes of the book, so it was easy for me to follow. The play takes 2 1/2 hours which is quite long but I wasn´t bored one second!

To theatre yesterday, I wore my black winter dress from H&M. I really love it! I just pimped it up with some accesoires and black tights!
I took my hair to a sideway pigtail and just curled the ends a little bit!

Necklace: Fleamarket
Belt: Second Hand

Hope you´ll have a great weekend!

I´m Back with an itsy-bitsy Haul!

Hello everyone!

Without posting a blog entry for days, I´m now back with a tiny Haul.
This day, my grandmother came from France and gave me a little present, like she often does. There are often some old clothes or jewellery she wore when she was a young woman. I always like her little treasures and also today.
She brought me a completely golden Lurex top with little bottoms on the back! I love it and it´s perfect for all the celecration days which are going to be in the next couple of weeks, like Christmas or New Years Eve.
Today, I also went to town after school to buy some new beauty products. They are for sensible and dry skin, so they´re perfect for the cold season. The products smell so fresh and rich and I expect that they will be great for my skin. Each product had only cost 1€ which is a real bargain!

This week is the last stressful school week before winter holidays. Tomorrow and on Tuesday, I will write class tests and on Wednesday and Friday, I will see two plays in Baden-Baden. I will go there by car with my class and I know that it will be an exausting little trip. In spite of, I´m looking forward to this evenings because I normally like plays or operas.
On Sunday, my friend Renée and I, we will see "Der Nussknacker" ("The Nutcracker") by Tschaikowsky. I never see an original Russian ballet before and I know that it will be awesome!
Have a great week and an awesome pre-Christmas period!
