Paris - A little Food and Drinks Feast Guide!

Hallo!

Schon wieder ist die Woche vorbei und somit auf mein Urlaub in Paris! Um es kurz zu halten: Es war traumhaft! Trotz teilweise regnerischem Wetter haben wir fast jedes erdenkliche Fleckchen der Stadt erkundet und sind auch abseits der Touristen-Hotspots an der Seine flaniert, in Cafés gesessen und haben kleine Vintage-Läden durchstöbert.

À propos Shopping, das ein oder andere Teil hat es auch mit mir nach Deutschland geschafft, darunter zwei Taschen. Eine davon ist eine kleine Luxus-Errungenschaft, die ich unter den erschwinglicheren Marken schon länger im Auge hatte! Bald mehr dazu!

Da ich neben Shopping einer weitere Leidenschaft, nämlich dem Essen und Trinken nachgegangen bin und tolle Restaurants und Bars entdeckt habe, zeige ich euch hier Lokalitäten, die ihr unbedingt ausprobieren müsst!

Unfortunately, my week in Paris went over so quickly, so that I´m already back in Germany! I can definitely say that the French capital is worth the trip. Despite the rainy weather I managed to got to all the lovely, known places but also the ones offside the touristic areas.

I strolled around the Seine and the nice planted parks, I sat in delicious little cafés and looked through the clothes and accessories in small vintage stores.

À propos shopping, I bought some nice things while staying in Paris. One of them is a designer bag I ogled at for a long time. You will see which one I got in one of my next posts!

Beside my passion for shopping, I also searched for nice restaurants, cafés and bars and I came up with a few hotspots which are worth the visit!

Instagram Moments: What to taste in Berlin!

Hallo!

Heute widme ich mich an dieser Stelle ganz dem Thema "Essen und Trinken in Berlin". Da in den Straßen Berlins an jeder Ecke eine neue Köstlichkeit zu entdecken gibt und so gut wie jede Nationalität vertreten ist, kommt wirklich jeder auf den Geschmack - so wie ich mir das eigentlich auch gedacht habe!

Neben tollen Restaurants gibt es unzählige Cafés und Bars (Happy Hour teilweise ab 17 Uhr!?), sodass man sich problemlos rund um die Uhr verköstigen lassen könnte. Einige dieser Plätze zeige ich euch heute in den Instagram Moments!

Today I´m going to dedicate this post to the subject of "Drinking and Eating in Berlin". Because there are plenty of places with deliciousness from all over the world on every corner, everybody finds something he likes - just as I thought before my trip!

Beside the restaurants, there are just as many café and bars (Happy hour starts at 17 o´clock!?), so you can theoretically eat and drink all day long. Today, I´m going to share with you some of my favourite places in my Instagram Moments!

Berlin Impressions!

Hallo!

Nach einer Woche Hauptstadt-Getümmel bin ich nun wieder in heimatlichen Gefilden angekommen und kann nur sagen: Berlin ist immer wieder eine Reise wert!

Neben einigen touristischen Aktivitäten wie Sightseeing-Tour mit einem der typischen Doppeldecker-Busse, Lustwandeln durch das Schloss Charlottenburg und Fotos von Helmut Newton im Museum für Fotografie bestaunen, durften ausgedehnte Shopping-Stunden auf dem Ku´damm nicht fehlen. Ein obligatorischer Besuch im KaDeWe gehörte da natürlich dazu.

Mit der S- und U-Bahn ging es unter anderem in die Stadtteile Prenzlauer Berg und Kreuzberg, wo kleinere Läden durchstöbert und viele Cafés, Bars und Restaurants getestet wurden.

Hello!

After a week full of Berlin impressions I´m back home again and all I can say is: The capital is always worth a trip!

Beside some touristic activities like sightseeing with one of the famous double-decker busses, jaunting through Schloss Charlottenburg and marveling at the photos of Helmut Newton at the Museum of Photographie, a lot of shopping couldn´t be missed during my stay there. A visit in the famous shopping mall KaDeWe was a must too.

By subway and city train, we visited the neigbourhoods Prenzlauer Berg and Kreuzberg where we rummaged through a lot of little shops and tested some of the various bars, restaurants and cafés.

I took a lot of photos during my stay, so today I will show you some of these in the form of a photo album!

P.S. In near future, I will write some more blog post about my stay in Berlin. Among some other topics, there will be two outfits and a gigantic haul! ;)

Let´s got to Berlin!

Hallo!

Wie in einem meiner letzten Posts verraten, verbringe ich kommende Woche

in Berlin!

Um eins kommt man dabei natürlich nicht herum und das ist Koffer packen.Wir kennen das Phänomen ja alle: Auch wenn man nicht einmal eine ganze Woche da sein wird, hat man so viel Kleidung, Schmuck & Co. herausgesucht, das unbedingt mit muss, dass man glatt eine weitere dableiben könnte.

Aber seien wir mal ehrlich, komplett durchdachte Outfits mit allem drum und dran wandern bei den wenigsten in den Koffer. Ich setzte da viel mehr auf die Taktik "Viel kombinierbares mitnehmen, viele Outfit-Alternativen bekommen".

Was ich also alles mit nach Berlin nehme, zeige ich euch heute!

Hello!

As I told you in one of my last posts, I will spend some days in Berlin next week!

There´s one thing you can´t avoid and that is packing your suitcase. We all know this phenomenon: Although you only spend some days somewhere else, you always take soo many clothes, accessories etc. with you, so you can theoretically stay some more weeks.

But let´s be honest, nearly nobody packs whole outfits in his suitcase. In my case, I develop the tactic: "Take many combinable clothes with you, get a lot of outfit alternatives".

So, let´s see what I packed for my Berlin trip!

Hallo und hej hej København!

Nachdem ich nun schon fast wieder eine Woche zurück bin aus Kopenhagen, ist es doch an der Zeit, über meine Reise in die Hauptstadt Dänemarks zu berichten, nicht war?

Kurz gesagt: Es ist definitiv eine Reise wert!

Kaum hat man sich in den Flieger gen Norden gesetzt, schon heißt es: Hallo Kopenhagen!

Die Stadt und seine vielen Stadtteile erkundet man am besten (und günstigsten) mit dem Fahrrad. So gut wie jede noch so kleine Straße ist mit einem Fahrradweg ausgestattet. Auf diesem Weg lassen sich die sehenswertesten Orte Kopenhagens hautnah erleben!

In den zahlreichen Cafés lässt es sich nach dem Erkunden der Stadt oder nach einer Shoppingtour in der längsten Fußgängerzone Europas, der Strøget, ein wenig entspannen. 

Wer am Abend gerne ausgeht, der lernt in den vielen Bars auch das Nachleben Kopenhagens kennen. Gut zu wissen: Cafés und Bars sind doch recht teuer, unter 6€ bekommt man kaum etwas.

I´m back in Germany! So, it´s time to recap my little trip to Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark!

In short: This city is worth the trip!

The flight from Germany is that short, so you can say "Hello Copenhagen!" in less than two hours!

The best (and cheapest) way to explore the city, is defninitely by bike. Almost any little street has a bike path. In this way, you can experience Copenhagen first hand!

After exploring the city or after a long shopping trip on Europes longest pedestrian zone, the Strøget, you can relax a little in one of the numerous cafés.

If you want to go out in the evening, there are a lot of bars where you can get to know the nightlife of Copenhagen, too. Good to know: Cafés and bars are not that cheap, so it´s hard to get something under €6.

Guide To Amsterdam!~

Hello everyone!

I´m back from my short trip to Amsterdam!

I had a great time there, so today I will show you the best places to be when you are planning to stay a couple of days in the capital of the Netherlands!

When I´m abroad, I like to do some "touristic" stuff like going to museums or on a sightseeing tour. But, I also search for other interesting places where mostly no tourists are.

In the following, I will show you the places I saw via pictures and give you some tips for your stay in Amsterdam!

                                                                 

ARRIVING

After a 7 hour long train ride we arrived in Amsterdam around 12 o´clock. It is the perfect time to start your short trip because you don´t loose a day and get the chance to explore the city right after you arrived. 

I recommend to get rid of your luggage first, so you don´t have to take it with you the whole day. If the check-in time in your hotel allows you to move in to your room early, it´s the best to place the luggage there. Another possibility is to use the lockers at the train station. 

For a stay in Amsterdam, it´s advisable to get the "I amsterdam"-Card which allows you to use public transport like tram, metro or bus. The card also includes free admission to around 40 museums and a free canal tour. 

EXPLORING THE CITY

First thing to do when you are in a city for the first time is to get to know it better while walking down the pedestrian areas or some of the biggest main streets. In Amsterdam, the hotspots are the Prinsengracht, Keizersgracht, Königsgracht, the Leidsestraat or the Kalverstraat. There you can find a lot of stores, restaurants, the awesome dutch architecture and A LOT of bikes.

While walking through the streets you maybe find some places you want to see closer another day.

The Cornelis Schuytstraat is known for its high end and stylish clothing or accesory stores in beautiful dutch-characteristic buildings. A lot of unique and dutch brands can be found there. Restaurants, bakery shops or an organic supermarket are also represent.

For even more high end stores, you have to visit the P.C. Hooftstraat which is the place for brands like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Mulberry, Gucci and a lot more. Even if you don´t buy anything, it´s a nice street to see.

Amsterdam offers a lot of interesting museums and if you aren´t impatient to stay in line for a really long time and have enough time, there are even more. I was curious to the see the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum but the waiting lines were too long, you almost had to wait 1 hour to get in!

 But, we saw some other ones! The Diamant Museum near the Museumsplein is an awesome place for jewelry fans who want to get to know more about how to rate or work with diamonds. There are also some rooms where you can buy jewelry.

Another museum for fashion-lovers is the Museum of Bags and Purses. It shows a collection of around 4500 bags from the 16th century to the present and is located in the former canal apartment of the mayor of Amsterdam.

There are also some really unusual bags!

If you are interested in how rich people lived in the 17th century, you have to visit the Museum Willet-Holthuysen near the Museum of Bags and Purses. This canal villa was comitted to the city of Amsterdam from the people who lived in and was changed into a museum. The visitors can walk through the full-furnished rooms and the glorious garden.

To explore the city a little more, a Canal Boat Tour is the best option to do so. In an 1 hour boat trip you can see all the interesting places from the water and learn more about the history and people from Amsterdam.

Amsterdam is famous for its art and architecture. During my trip, I took photos of the most interesting one I passed.
